  • Trout Creek is located in the scenic mountains of NW Montana. Nearby Kootenai National Forest offers miles of trout streams, rivers, snowmobile, mountain biking and hiking trails. Anglers can expect to find a variety of trout, as well as perch, bass and pike. Whitetail, cougar, elk, moose, bighorn sheep, and black bear provide opportunities for hunters. When the snow covers this area it becomes a winter wonderland for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing and snowmobiling enthusiasts. Midway between Trout Creek and Kootenai Falls is the Ross Creek Giant Cedars where you will find flat hiking trails through the cedars. Just a short drive will take you to the Old Jail Museum home to area historical artifacts, Heritage Museum with a miners cabin, cookhouse, other older buildings and a Shay locomotive, and Grave Creek Falls, the perfect picnic spot. At Lookout Pass Ski Area and Silver Mountain Ski Resort you will find runs for everyone from the beginner to the most experienced.
